Time moves fast, just over a year after Kate Middleton’s cancer statement and consequent preventive chemotherapy, the Princess is eyeing new royal appointments for 2025. However, she doesn’t forget all the help she got during these dark times.
The Princess of Wales accompanied by Prince William are pairing up to serve as patrons of the hospital where Kate received cancer treatment for much of 2024. The news was released by Kensington Palace with a heartfelt post on January 14.
On Thursday, Kate Middleton visited the hospital as the patronage was announced. She surprised all of the medical center members and became Kate’s first solo engagement since 2023, and a rare one in public following her diagnosis. Dame Cally Palmer, chief executive of the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, shared her experience with the Princess’ visit.
“We were honored to welcome Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales to the Royal Marsden in Chelsea this morning, and are delighted that Her Royal Highness is now joining His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales in becoming Joint Patrons of our specialist cancer center.”
