December 30 is an important date for BTS fans, better known as ARMY because of V’s birthday. Despite the multiple celebrations across the country, BigHit Music decided not to proceed with the planned birthday content for BTS’ V.
BigtHit Music released a heartfelt official statement on their social media accounts to express their condolences to those who lost their lives in the tragic crash of Jeju Air flight 7C2216 on December 29th. In addition, they announced they would not release anything related to V out of respect for the victims of the recent incident.
“We extend our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the aviation accident and offer our heartfelt sympathies to their bereaved families. We kindly ask for fans’ understanding regarding our decision not to post V’s birthday-related content today.”
However, some K-Netizens and ARMY decided to celebrate BTS’ V on social media and thousands of advertisements across South Korea. BTS’ V hasn’t released any official statement besides the one released by BigHit Music.
