King Charles lll, Queen Camilla Parker, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children recently stepped out in Norfolk for their traditional Christmas Day outing, putting on a united front as they arrived at St Mary Magdalene Church. While the family looked as shiny as ever, an awkward situation soon caused a stir. During a walkabout, William apparently had to call his protection officer to bring the Princess of Wales back, who continued to greet royal followers.
Wholesomely, Kate Middleton made sure every admirer got a chance to say hello, waving and accepting festive gifts from excited fans. Meanwhile, Prince William waited near the church with the children, but he decided to phone his security detail! Just like that, the Prince of Wales unintentionally added a comedic twist to this ceremonial royal outing.
The Princess of Wales decided to make up for all the people she didn’t greet this year in one go. She probably tallied up all her missed walkabouts, did the maths, and thought, “Sandringham it is!” And so it was, aajajajajajaan! pic.twitter.com/ijkxzoCIvX

As of now, the clip of this moment made quick rounds online, capturing Prince William’s exasperated move. Despite the mini hiccup, the day was a success. The kids walked away with chocolates and plushies, and the family enjoyed a much-needed holiday break after Kate Middleton’s challenging year of cancer treatment. Meanwhile, Kate’s mom, Carole Middleton, turns 70 on January 31, another opportunity for the royals to celebrate.
