BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars continue to write history with their smash song, “APT,” which is still at the top of the popularity list. The song has reached a larger audience, and this is why they have been able to break PSY’s 12-year record on YouTube.
On December 28 at around 2. a.m. KST, Rosé, and Bruno Mars’ iconic music video surpassed 700 million views on YouTube. The song was originally released on October 18 at 1 p.m. KST, meaning that it took approximately 70 days and 13 hours to reach the milestone.
This new achievement made Rosé break PSY’s record for the fastest Kpop music ever to hit 700 million views. The previous record of 118 days was set by PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” which remained unbeaten for over 12 years. On top of that, “APT,” is also the fourth fastest music video ever to reach the milestone on YouTube following Adele’s “Hello,” Nicky Jam and J. Balvin ‘s “X (EQUIS),” and DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B.
