Stranger Things has officially wrapped its fifth and final season—and the nostalgia is hitting harder than ever. On Friday, December 20, Netflix dropped the bombshell that filming has ended on the series, alongside a flurry of behind-the-scenes photos that basically scream “friendship goals.” Cast members jumped onto social media, sharing heartfelt tributes to the show that catapulted them into stardom.

In a sweet throwback photo, Finn, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo flank Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Natalia Dyer—looking like the middle school team from season 1. “We had no clue what was coming,” Finn wrote. Now these young adults are practically seasoned pros. Meanwhile, Noah Schnapp revealed a “top ten lessons I learned” list, it’s no wonder all of them feel “forever grateful” for this roller-coaster ride in the Upside Down.
Millie Bobby Brown shares emotional speech from the set of ‘Stranger Things’ after the final season wrapped filming:

Of course, the Duffer Brothers are also feeling all the feels. Ross Duffer called the series a “defining part of their childhood.” And while we don’t have too many deets on the final season, Netflix has teased a time jump that catapults us from the spring of 1986 into the fall of 1987. Until its premiere next year, all we can do is hold on to nostalgia.
