Michael Murray and Lindsay Lohan are stepping back into their old teenage shoes. Even though it’s been over two decades since the 2003 Freaky Friday movie, the actor couldn’t help but gush about the upcoming sequel, calling it a “nostalgic kick.”
“It was awesome. It was just a nostalgic kick. It felt like a high school reunion, you know? It felt like no time had passed, and yet we had entire lives in between.”
Alongside Lindsay Lohan, who’s reprising her role as Anna Coleman, the actor says working on the new film felt like a high school reunion—complete with all the heartwarming memories and goofy flashbacks. In addition, Jamie Lee Curtis will be taking on her as Tess, along with the original crew and some fresh faces.
Slated to hit theaters on August 8, 2025, Freakier Friday will reunite audiences while introducing a new generation to all the comedic chaos. Despite having been 23 years since the first one was done, the chemistry still feels sharp!
