King Charles III paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II as he hosted his annual pre-Christmas lunch on December 20 at Buckingham Palace instead of Windsor Castle for the first time. Despite several major royals being missing from the private family ceremony, some unexpected guests made a rare royal appearance.
The most eagle-eyed royal fans had a surprise after spotting Queen Elizabeth II’s grandnephew, Samuel Chatto, who reemerged for the family outing. The fan-favorite royal and his younger brother, Arthur Chatto aren’t working royal, meaning that they don’t attend royal engagements frequently.
The 28-year-old is the eldest grandchild of the late queen’s sister, Princess Margaret, and 29th in line to the throne. While Chatto has followed royal tradition by attending Eton College, and the University of Edinburgh, he didn’t follow the royal path.
Samuel Chatto’s latest appearance with the Royal Family happened at Kate Middleton’s 2023 Together at Christmas carol service. The royal fans are crazy over Samuel Chatto and he could be a key to approaching the younger generations.
