IU has garnered a greater audience over the last few months because of her immense talent and interesting collaborations. The most recent, “Love Wins All” with BTS’ V made IU soar to new heights in the Kpop industry.
As a music artist, IU’s global success is awe-inspiring; over a decade of releasing music, many international artists have tried to collaborate with the idol. However, IU finally revealed why she rejected some of this collaboration.
IU sat down with Billboard in a heartfelt interview to talk about her willingness to work with international artists. Despite admitting she was reluctant to collaborate with foreign artists and turning down multiple offers because of the language barrier, she has opened up to the possibility.
“I have received many amazing offers in the past, but I felt a little vague about collaborating with artists who spoke different languages. So, I turned down the opportunities. But now I don’t think that way. I’m much more open to working with global artists. Please feel free to reach out to me.”
