BTS’ Jimin met critical acclaim and commercial success after he released his second solo album, “MUSE.” The album’s title track, “WHO,” garnered a greater audience worldwide because of its catchy lyrics and ultimately became Jimin’s blueprint.
On December 16, Spotify was pleased to announce that the idol’s solo track, “WHO,” surpassed 1.2 billion streams on the platform. This amazing milestone was achieved in just 151 days, marking the fastest record for a Kpop artist.
The new achievement comes after Jimin broke the record previously set by Harry Styles’ “As It Was,” which reached the same amount of streams in 155 days. The idol shortened the timeline by four days.
In addition, Jimin also became the first Korean act artist since PSY to surpass 1 billion on-demand streams in the United States in 10 years. No doubt, Jimin is slowly venturing into the American market and meeting only success.
