Get ready, Disney fans—Tangled is getting a glow-up! The live-action reboot of Disney’s 2010 animated movie is officially in the works, and it promises to bring Rapunzel’s world to life like never before. Based on the Brothers Grimm classic, this reimagining version is set to follow the original animated plot with a golden-haired girl and a daring thief.

The original film was a smash hit, grossing over $590 million and grabbing an Oscar nom for “I See the Light.” This time around, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the brain behind “Thor: Love and Thunder,” is penning the script. Meanwhile, Michael Gracey is in negotiations to direct this upcoming live-action version. However, all details regarding the cast are still under wraps.

Since the 2010 release, Tangled has only had a few spin-offs, like Tangled Ever After and a Disney Channel series. Yet,  this live-action revival feels like a long-overdue tribute to one of Disney’s most beloved princesses in the 2000s.
