Bob Bryar, the former drummer of My Chemical Romance, has tragically passed away at the age of 44. Authorities discovered his body in his Tennessee home on November 26 after he was reported missing earlier in the month. Law enforcement confirmed there was no suspicion of foul play, and none of Bryar’s belongings, including musical equipment and weapons, were taken from his home. The cause of death remains undetermined at this time. However, it is known that animal control was initially called to remove a pair of dogs after the musician’s body was discovered.

Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004 during the band’s meteoric rise to fame, initially replacing drummer Matt Pelissier. He was instrumental in shaping their sound during the era of their second and third albums, “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge” and “The Black Parade.” He left the band in 2010 during the development of “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.” After leaving music, Bryar transitioned to real estate and devoted much of his time to animal rescue charities.

My Chemical Romance has yet to release a formal statement on his passing. The band recently announced a series of 2025 stadium shows where they will perform “The Black Parade in full.” However, Bryar was never confirmed to make an appearance at these shows.
