Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner spend Thanksgiving together post-Jennifer Lopez divorce

Ben Affleck may be fresh off a high-profile divorce with Jennifer Lopez, but Thanksgiving brought a different kind of reunion! This time, it was with his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. The two Oscar winners (and co-parents to three children) spent the holiday together at Midnight Mission in downtown LA. They helped feed 2,000 homeless individuals with the help of other stars like Sarah Paulson and Amanda Peet.

Their kids—Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12—joined the festive volunteering occasion, creating a picture-perfect family moment. This marks Ben Affleck’s first Thanksgiving since Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce in August, making it the second time he and Garner have come full circle after a breakup. Married in 2005 and split in 2015, the pair continue to co-parent their children.

As for the “Bennifer” saga, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster: from their rekindling in 2021 to tying the knot (again) in 2022, and ultimately divorcing this year. Initially, the pair planned to get married in 2003. However, their wedding was postponed and they eventually split up in 2004 to get back together and then call it quits in the 2020s.
