Then, he engaged in destructive behavior in his hotel room, with hotel staff attempting to intervene before he ultimately fell from his third-story balcony, passing from a cranial fracture due to the fall. Toxicology results later revealed the presence of multiple drugs, including cocaine, in his system.

Payne’s death has sparked investigations implicating three individuals, including Rogelio Nores, an alleged drug dealer, and a hotel employee. He was laid to rest in England on November 20, with his family and friends, including his former One Direction bandmates, son bear, ex-wife Cheryl, and girlfriend Kate Cassidy.
