BTS’ Jin just dropped some truth bombs about his acting dreams and where his heart truly lies. In a candid chat on Leemujin Service, Jin revealed that while acting once topped his wishlist, the idol life and music pushed the right buttons for him in many unexpected ways. And his acting journey? A story with parents, music, BigHit, and BTS involved!
💙 don’t you want to be an actor anymore then?
🐹 not at all. one of the reasons I wanted to become an actor was the variety of experiences I thought it would entail but being an idol brought me a lot more experiences so that dream is now forgotten. pic.twitter.com/7r12oSMwlW— jin files (@seokjinfile) November 19, 2024
Initially, Jin’s dream of acting faced parental resistance, as they wanted him to pursue a university career. Eventually, this led him to BigHit and BTS. He admitted that his love for music overshadowed his acting ambitions, saying, “I am happy as a singer.” And boom! When asked if acting could still be in his future, Jin replied, “Not at all,” affirming that he has lived many experiences as an idol and that his acting dreams are now “forgotten.”
With his debut mini-album “Happy,” released on November 15, 2024, featuring hits like “I’ll Be There” and “Running Wild,” Jin proves that his focus remains on music. Meanwhile, ARMY is already counting down for BTS’s full reunion post-military service in mid-2025. As you wait, watch the full interview-episode here:
