King Charles lll’s “No Meghan Markle” policy at Queen Elizabeth ll’s final goodbye

Prince Harry was left furious when King Charles lll reportedly told him that Meghan Markle shouldn’t join him at Balmoral to say goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II. According to Harry, who spilled all the tea in his memoir “Spare,” King Charles apparently laid down his “no Meghan” policy, claiming it was a matter of keeping things simple. But to the Prince, this “explanation” felt downright disrespectful!

“He said I was welcome at Balmoral, but he didn’t want… her. He started to lay out his reason, which was nonsensical, and disrespectful, and I wasn’t having it.”

Prince Harry revealed that King Charles justified his choice saying he didn’t want too many people around, especially since Kate Middleton wouldn’t be attending either. Subsequently, the Duke of Sussex felt his dad’s decision was “nonsensical.” Unfortunately, Prince Harry’s late arrival at Balmoral meant he missed the chance to say goodbye, so unfortunately neither of the Sussexes was present on the occasion back, which took place on September 8, 2022.

Though Charles might have kept Meghan from Balmoral, she still paid her respects during the late Queen’s state funeral on September 19, 2022, at Westminster Abbey.
