Queen Camilla Parker is pledging her voice to fight domestic violence in a new documentary, airing next week. In “Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors,” Camilla meets with survivors, from politicians to former beauty queens, highlighting the hidden struggle of domestic abuse.
For years, Queen Camilla has advocated for this cause, from her first TV interview to becoming the patron of “Save Lives” in 2020. Initially, she addressed the issue in a CNN interview, her very first for TV back in 2017. The royal’s dedication shines through as she raises awareness of the complex, often unseen, patterns of coercive control and emotional abuse.
Camilla believes progress has been made, but she’s not stopping there. With determination, she states, “I shall keep on trying until I am able to no more.” The documentary airs on November 11 at 9 p.m. on ITV1. However, it has not been announced if it will be subsequently released on a streaming platform. Currently, her son-in-law’s doc “Prince William: We Can End Homelessness” can be streamed on Disney+.
