Prince William is breaking his silence on what he’s calling the hardest year of his life. With both his wife, Kate Middleton, and his father, King Charles ll, facing cancer diagnoses in 2024, the Prince of Wales didn’t hold back in a heartfelt revelation on November 7. Reflecting on a year marked by difficulties, he described the experience as “brutal” and admitted it’s been nearly tough to keep everything in check.

During his visit to Cape Town, the Prince of Wales revealed how different responsibilities, taken on after Queen Elizabeth’s passing in 2022, have been difficult to carry out. However, he admitted he feels proud of his family after going through these health struggles:
“But I’m so proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it’s been, yeah, it’s been brutal.”
