The 2025 Grammy nominations are in, and again, BTS remains the only recognized K-pop act in the award show’s history. Even though several groups and solo artists submitted their songs, albums, and mini-albums to be considered for the Grammy categories, none were considered.
However, two K-pop acts have been “indirectly” nominated this year thanks to their appearances in projects by some official nominees. First up, there’s aespa, who collaborated with Jacob Collier on his track “Over You.” The song is included in the “Djesse Vol. 4” album, which snagged a nomination for Album of the Year.
Congratulations to #aespa for being featured on the #GRAMMYs nominated album Djesse Vol.4 by Jacob Collier! pic.twitter.com/gCBxRg8oxh

Similarly, Stray Kids and their track “Slash” is part of the “Deadpool & Wolverine” soundtrack album, which was nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Visual Media. This indirectly involves them in a Grammy category.
Well, we can definitely say "Stray Kids" is nominated at Grammys by association 😀✌️#2024MAMAVOTE #StrayKids https://t.co/imZtmIWF9A pic.twitter.com/kBPDhN8Txj

Meanwhile, BTS is still reigning as the only K-pop group with direct Grammy nominations. Since 2021 they have been nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with hits like “Butter,” “Dynamite” and Coldplay’s “My Universe.” They have also been indirectly nominated for Album of the Year thanks to the aforementioned Coldplay collab. However, they haven’t won any of their nominations so far.
