This piece, which the entrepreneur bought for $197,453 at a Sotheby’s auction, was famously donned by Princess Diana in a 1987 charity event. Back then, the late royal shone with a velvet gown by Catherine Walker.

But unlike Princess Diana, who showcased the pendant with a conservative style, Kim Kardashian chose to spotlight it on a shorter chain against her naked skin. The outfit was complemented by a pearl choker and diamond necklaces, reflecting the star’s preference for a bold and sexy vibe in her style.

The pendant itself, featuring square-cut amethysts and circular-cut diamonds, has a history of royal style and a little bit of catholic faith.
