In a candid revelation with Paper Magazine, BLACKPINK’s Rosé shared how her rollercoaster of toxic relationships in her 20s influenced her music, just like it for many people of her age. Drawing from these love experiences, she’s crafting her upcoming solo album, “rosie,” set to drop on December 6, 2024, offering a journey through Rosé’s life during her 20s.

“I do want people to understand that I’m not much different from your average girlfriend, or 23-year-old girl. I’m probably very relatable if you listen to my songs, and if anyone’s been in that kind of a relationship. It doesn’t even have to be about a boyfriend, just any type of toxic relationship.”
But Rosé is not just dropping stories in her songs, she’s also making them number one! Her latest smash hit, “APT.” featuring Bruno Mars, topped the charts both in South Korea and the Global Spotify and Apple Music charts. This hit made the BLACKPINK member the first female K-pop idol to dominate these lists, as well as the first one to debut inside the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
