The Royal Family’s streaming battle keeps getting juicier! Disney+ has picked up Prince William‘s two-part documentary on homelessness, airing first on ITV this week. Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue their deal with Netflix, having signed that jaw-dropping £80 million deal back in 2020. Is this a Prince William with Disney+ against Prince Harry with Netflix showdown?
Here’s the scoop: Prince William’s “We Can End Homelessness” series will give viewers an intimate look at his Homewards program, showcasing his commitment to social. The docu-series will drop on the platform on November 1. Choosing the platform that houses Mickey Mouse might even come as a clapback to his brother joining forces with the “Stranger Things” house.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stand strong with Netflix, having released their first docu-series “Harry and Meghan” in 2022 to great success and controversy. But their deal is not stopping there, with the Duchess of Sussex’s rumored upcoming show about cooking and gardening. Not falling short, it has also been said that the Duke of Sussex is working with Netflix on a polo-themed documentary.
And just like that, the royal family takes their feud into streaming platforms. Which shows are you claiming?
