SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo is under fire for malicious comments about Girls’ Generation

There’s no doubt that SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo is one of the most beloved members of the boy band for his uniqueness and charisma. However, fans are completely fair regarding controversies and know that Wonwoo made malicious comments about Girls’ Generations.

Several South Korean media outlets stated that Wonwoo posted multiple derogatory comments about the idols’ appearances and character during his middle school days. The post resurfaced online and ultimately, brought Wonwoo to a major controversy. On top of that, the idol posted a blunt message on Instagram on October 29 to dismiss the situation.

“Being a celebrity is not a job where one has to endure until the point of death. I hope people don’t look down on idols. Please stop giving wounds you can’t take responsibility for. I hope the world becomes filled with warmth like Seungkwan said.”

The K-Netizens reacted negatively to SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo’s Instagram post by stating his reckless behavior and lack of empathy contributed to the lack of warmth he stated in his short statement. Although he posted an apology, the criticism is soaring to new heights.
