SEVENTEEN Mingyu is one of the most popular idols nowadays because of his incursion into the fashion industry. However, the idol’s recent update sparked controversy among the K-Netizens for his unusual way of writing in English.
On October 24 KST, Mingyu took over Instagram to share a story following SEVENTEEN’s “RIGHT HERE” concert in Chicago. The idol wrote: “Was fun Chicago, See you again, I love you,” which sparked a huge debate online.
Although the simple message, some fans took an abrupt change of heart to state that the idol’s English is poor and even explained it could be almost impossible to read it. However, some others defended the artist because he is still learning.
At the end of the day, K-Netizens turned into a heated confrontation over Mingyu’s grammar. Some fans also wanted to highlight that regardless of Mingyu’s English, he was happy to share with his fans in Chicago and that’s all that matters right now.
