Through social networks, residents of the United Kingdom publicly accused King Charles III of being ‘cheapskate‘ for the low salary he offers for a new job at Buckingham Palace.
The conflict started as soon as an advertisement was published where it was revealed that a vacancy had opened for a cleaning job at Buckingham Palace, and in the job description it was revealed that the salary established for this job offer would be 22,000 pounds per year, which would be equivalent to 10.54 pounds per hour.
The salary set by King Charles III for the position was considered an insult by residents as it is below the legal minimum, which is set at 11.44 pounds per hour for jobs based in London, which is why netizens on social networks have named the monarch ‘Royal Cheapskate‘.
