BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars have set 2024 ablaze with their duet “APT,” which dropped on October 18. This powerhouse duo has outdone Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s “Fortnight,” snagging the title of the year’s biggest male-female debut! Within just 24 hours, “APT” shattered records, becoming the fastest duet to reach 10 million YouTube views.

This hit is more than just a bop; it’s part of Rosé’s upcoming debut solo album. The song’s title is inspired by the “apartment game,” a nod to Korean culture and their drinking customs. The track also debuted with impressive numbers on Spotify, getting the third spot on the Global Charts and eleventh place in the United States.

“APT” comes as Rosé’s first single for her highly-anticipated album, “rosie.” This project is set to drop on December 6 and follows the BLACKPINK member’s decision to pursue a solo career outside of YG Entertainment. She is currently signed to THEBLACKLABEL in partnership with Atlantic Records for her individual releases, yet BLACKPINK as a group remains in YG.
