Although this is old news for K-Pop fans, a comedian from the United States recently joked about BTS‘s Suga‘s scooter incident, highlighting the significant difference this action from the idol would have in his country and the surprising scandal it generates in South Korea.
A few months ago, the rapper was involved in a scandal over drunk driving a scooter, but despite other parts of the world in the Asian country, this is illegal, disappointing many of his Korean fans, but the TV host Stephen Colbert had much to say about this in his show.
Despite the comedian usually talking about American policy and news, he has a section in his program titled ‘What’s Going On Over There?‘ in which he talks about Suga’s controversy, asking, “Wait, Koreans need a license to drive one of these things?…”
Then, Colbert joked, “In New York, you’ll see them being ridden down Broadway by a baby eating a turkey leg“, generating great reaction from netizens who left comments like, “no matter what, to the rest of the world, this will be nothing but absolutely ridiculous“, “you’re in trouble when america makes more sense than you“.
