The police confirm that Liam Payne jumped off a balcony to take his own life

Last Wednesday afternoon, October 16th, after responding to an emergency call, the police confirmed that Liam Payne, member of the successful boyband One Direction, jumped from a balcony to take his own life.

Everything happened in Palermo, Argentina, at the Hotel Casa Sur, where the singer was staying. At the moment, the local police have assured that it was a suicide because Payne “had jumped from the balcony of his room” located on the third floor of the building, so the fall caused “extremely serious injuries”.

A 911 call obtained by AP reveals that the manager of the venue had alerted local authorities, saying they had “a guest who is overwhelmed with drugs and alcohol …” and added, “He’s destroying the entire room and, well, we need you to send someone, please“, so the police approached the scene.

However, by the time the police arrived at the hotel, One Direction member Liam Payne had already jumped from the balcony of his room, ending his life. The news spread quickly, and thousands of fans around the world have mourned the death of the singer who was part of their childhood.
