NewJeans’ Hanni wasn’t about to stay silent. During a recent National Assembly audit, she called out the new ADOR CEO, Kim Joo Young, for failing to protect her and NewJeans from bullying. The idol directly charged the recent CEO with broken promises and no intention of taking action.
🦦: sorry but i don’t think you did your best! there’s more that u can do, also u keep saying u will protect us if u really want to protect us you have no choice but to fight for us. but you don’t fight for us, there’s also no sort of action, so i don’t think you did your best pic.twitter.com/9rsx72DCd7

“I’m sorry, but I don’t think you did everything you could. You said you would protect us in the first place, but you didn’t have the will to protect us or the ability to take action.”
She shared her belief that HYBE, and particularly its new CEO, has turned a blind eye to the struggles of NewJeans. The group has faced several problems, including public badmouthing by HYBE employees and workplace bullying.
“While getting my hair and make-up done, I greeted a member of another team, and when I came out again, their manager told them to ignore me as if they hadn’t seen me.”
ADOR’s CEO Kim Jooyoung: I think I did everything I could do as an in-house director, but I wonder if there was something I could have done better when Hanni said she felt this way.

Initially, all the NewJeans members took to YouTube live-stream to demand HYBE to reinstate their former CEO Min Hee Jin in September this year. They also expressed their concerns over workplace bullying and Hanni was later cited to court by the National Assembly on October 15.
