The eldest daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, despite being the heir to the throne, recently suffered an awkward moment when she was ignored by guests at a royal event on October 12.
Wearing her elegant military uniform, 18-year-old Princess Leonor traveled to Madrid to accompany her parents to a reception for Spain’s national day, but during the event, the heir to the throne experienced firsthand the disdain of some dignitaries at the celebration.
Princess Leonor, who was standing to the right of her mother, was ignored by a woman who approached to greet the king and queen, and although the young royal extended her hand to greet, the person continued on her way without seeing the outstretched arm of the future heiress, but upon noticing her disdain, she returned to greet her.

Later, another person who greeted the monarchs was delighted with the interaction to the point of being the second person at the event to ignore Princess Leonor and leave her with her arm outstretched, but realizing her mistake, she returned to greet her with the respect she deserves; luckily, the future heiress took both interactions with humor.
