In recent declarations, the comedian Lee Jin Ho confessed he has a gambling addiction and scammed celebrities, including the BTS member. Later, South Korean media outlets revealed the idol lent him â‚©100 million KRW or about $74,100 USD in 2022.
When this news arose, the agency behind Jimin told the media, News1, that this report was true, stating, “Jimin indeed suffered financial damage. All he did was write a promissory note and lent it to Lee Jin Ho“, shocking fans and netizens worldwide.
Back in 2022, Jimin made a loan agreement with Lee Jinho after he said he needed it urgently, and will pay back in a week, though he never did. It was reported that multiple celebrities were affected financially by the comedian.
