One of the victims of the former NCT member Taeil might have been a foreign woman

NCT’s Taeil has been under fire since it was reported he was linked to an unspecified crime, SM Entertainment, didn’t want to provide any additional details about the case. However, new reports are showing the whole picture of the situation.

The idol is currently being investigated on charges of aggravated rape. According to Chosun Ilbo, Taeil was taken in by the police department for reportedly raping an intoxicated woman with two friends. Ten Asia also reported that the victim was a woman of foreign nationality, dismissing all the previous rumors the victim was a male.

K-Netizens stated that the victim could potentially be a foreigner because the South Korean law couldn’t help her in this “Special Quasi-Rape.” According to Korean law, the term “special” indicates that it was aggravated, meaning that there were more than two people, and the term “quasi” indicates that the victim was unconscious and/or unable to resist.

Ultimately, the case was sent to the Seoul Central Prosecutors Office after the Bangbae Police Station investigated Taeil. The prosecutor hasn’t summoned Taeil yet. However, the news could bring even more heat to the controversy.
