It has been confirmed that following his cancer diagnosis earlier this year, King Charles III has had to break his lifetime meal habit due to doctors’ orders to ensure his good health.

According to the Daily Mail, a source claimed, “With some reluctance, he now has something to eat at lunchtime a snack, really“. This has come as quite a surprise to royal supporters, as it is well known that during his adult life, the monarch has avoided lunch.

He now eats half an avocado to sustain him through the day. It’s important, particularly if you have got an illness“, revealed the source, thus making it clear that due to the demands of the doctors, the king will not be able to skip lunch completely; although he is not required to eat a very elaborate dish, he must at least eat a snack to keep him energized during the day.

The chemotherapy treatments are quite strong and delicate; that is why the king will now have to eat more during his daily routine in order to have energy to fulfill all his royal commitments and not decompensate after undergoing the cancer treatments.
