Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson claims in his memoir ‘Unleashed‘ that Queen Elizabeth II was suffering from a serious illness before her death on September 8th, 2022.
In the book, which will be published in the UK on October 10, Johnson confesses that the Queen’s medical condition was getting worse and worse and says, “Her doctors were worried that at any time she could enter a sharp decline“. This is perfectly in line with the announcement published by Buckingham Palace hours before Elizabeth’s death expressing concern about her state of health.
Johnson also revealed, “I had known for a year or more that she had a form of bone cancer“, indicating that this could be the real cause of Elizabeth II’s death, despite the fact that the certificate of death states ‘old age’ as the reason for death.
The declarations of the former prime minister are in agreement with what was mentioned by the royal biographer Gyles Brandreth in his book ‘Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait‘ where he assured that Her Majesty had a rare form of myeloma, a bone marrow cancer, which would explain the tiredness, weight loss, and mobility problems of the monarch during the last years of her life.
