Last Friday, September 27th, during a public event, Prince William and Prince Harry‘s uncle Charles Spencer reportedly pronounced about the ‘distancing’ between Princess Diana‘s children.
According to British media, Charles’ statement came during a new charity initiative for the acclaimed Diana Award that has kept the late Princess of Wales’ legacy alive for so many years even after her death that it has kept everyone in the Spencer family proud.
Diana’s brother told ITV’s Chris Ship, “They both recognise this is something of their mother’s and they both support that, and that’s all that really matters in this situation“. This message to royal supporters would indicate that the conflict between the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex is still ongoing but that honoring their mother overcomes their differences.
Although many thought that the birthday congratulations from King Charles III and the Prince and Princess of Wales to Harry, despite not being an active working member of the royals, was the beginning of a family reconciliation, the statement of their uncle hinted it is not so and that it was only a strategy.
