King Charles III shares a heartfelt tribute for the late Maggie Smith

The world was shocked after learning that Maggie Smith died at the age of 89 on September 27. The death of the actress was announced by her sons, Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens and King Charles III was there to pay a heartfelt and sweet tribute to her.

The Monarch of the United Kingdom shared his statement with a photograph of Maggie Smith and him speaking at the Pride Britain Awards at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel in October 2016.

“My wife and I were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Dame Maggie Smith  As the curtain comes down on a national treasure, we join all those around the world in remembering with the fondest admiration and affection her many great performances, and her warmth and wit that shone through both on and off the stage.”

The British people are completely blue after the death of Maggie Smith. However, King Charles III’s assertive message brought relief to the thousands of royal followers across the globe. The King’s message is a warm embrace for Maggie Smith’s family and those who were close to her.
