Min Hee Jin is not giving up! The person behind NewJeans has officially requested a new contract from HYBE, demanding to be reinstated as ADOR’s CEO (its subsidiary label). The situation has been tense between both parties this 2024, reaching a new conflict level since ADOR’s board proposed Min Hee Jin return as an internal director for NewJeans, but she’s made it clear that she wants more than just a simple reappointment.
ADOR rejects NewJeans’ request to reinstate Min Heejin as the CEO of the company:

In a statement on September 25, 2024, her representatives put ADOR and HYBE on the spot for offering what she calls a “flawed contract” filled with toxic clauses. Min Hee Jin described the proposal as “wordplay” and accused both agencies of media manipulation. She also revealed her concern for the well-being of NewJeans, stating that without a fair contract, the girl group’s future activities are at risk.
NewJeans during their livestream:
— ““Min Heejin is not only the person who produces our music but someone who makes NewJeans who we are (…) she is integral to NewJeans’ identity and we all feel that she is irreplaceable”. pic.twitter.com/qY52Ej9FWq

As tensions escalate, Min Hee Jin remains bold that her return as CEO is essential to protect NewJeans from HYBE’s “irrational actions.” Recently, the NewJeans members themselves took to social media to reveal unfair treatment inside HYBE and demanded their former’s CEO reinstatement, reflecting on the aforementioned requests.
Will Min Hee Jin get her position back?
