For royal supporters, it has come as a complete surprise to learn that Queen Camilla Parker and Kate Middleton have an unexpected hobby in common, another of the similarities between the most important women in the British royalty today.

In the documentary Camilla’s Country Life, the wife of King Charles III revealed, “I love swimming, and I love English sea” and later explained why she finds it normal to do this activity at low temperatures: “I don’t mind the cold, I think we were so used to it when we were children that it just doesn’t bother me“.

The Princess of Wales revealed her love for this pastime in a special episode of the podcast ‘The Good, The Bad and The Rugby’: “I love swimming wherever I can—cold swimming—the colder the better“, leaving the host of the program Mike Tindall surprised.

Although Kate revealed that she loves swimming in very cold water, she also assured that she is clear about her limits with the degrees of cold she is willing to endure: “I wouldn’t want to be put through my paces with a freezing sub-zero ice bath“, letting it be known that this activity commonly performed by professional athletes is not something she is interested in.
