According to the Spanish press, it can be confirmed that King Felipe VI has hygiene problems that infuriate Queen Letizia, as it affects the image she wants to project in public events.

It was the Nacional de Cataluña media who revealed that the Spanish monarch has a disorder that seriously affects his personal hygiene as well as his relationship with his wife, since she has informed him that she finds this bad habit unpleasant and has sought multiple alternatives to bring the situation to an end.

The media assured that the King suffers from onychophagia, an impulsive disorder that consists in biting his nails of his fingers compulsively. Due to the constant stress that he suffers, this condition increases and can be reflected in the monarch’s hands during the most important public events.

Often, King Felipe VI uses bandages to cover the wounds caused by this disorder; however, some experts have analyzed the images in more detail and, noticing that he does not bite his nails but his skin, they have diagnosed that the monarch actually suffers from dermatophagia.
