Wednesday’s return: Jenna Ortega gears up for season 2 of the series

Jenna Ortega is bringing back everyone’s favorite goth girl in Wednesday season 2! Netflix just dropped a behind-the-scenes teaser that’s making fans buzz with excitement. As part of Geeked Week, the streaming platform shared footage of the cast—Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzmán, and Catherine Zeta-Jones—welcoming us to a set, giving us all the feels.

Once again, Tim Burton is directing the show with a return that promises to be “bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine.” Filming has been in full swing for months, with the series returning at some point during late 2025.  You can always expect the creepy comedic vibes of Nevermore Academy, and you can also look forward to new cast members like Steve Buscemi and Christopher Lloyd—but their roles are being kept under wraps.

The teaser doesn’t give away that much, but it’s just enough to make us want some more! Season 2 promises more twists, practical effects, and that dark-meets-fun atmosphere that made Wednesday a massive Netflix hit. Put on your coolest black outfit, late 2025 might just be the binge-watch moment we need!
