British invasion takes over Netflix: Top 10 most consumed content on the platform in 2024 so far

Netflix had a serious British takeover in the first half of 2024! With four of its top 10 global hits hailing from the U.K. Leading the pack were “Fool Me Once,” Emmy-winner “Baby Reindeer,” “The Gentlemen,” and “One Day.”

But the crown jewel? “Bridgerton” Season 3, which became the second most-watched show worldwide from January to June 2024. With a stellar 733.8 million hours viewed, the “Bridgerton” universe continues to dominate! Not to mention, “Bridgerton” Season 1’s comeback, rounding up the top 10 and sealing the deal for the show as Netflix’s biggest hit.

Netflix’s ranking system? It’s all about the hours. Dividing total viewing time by the runtime gives you the hottest shows on the platform. And here’s the cream of the crop, in total hours viewed:

1. Bridgerton: Season 3 – 733.8 million views.
2. Fool Me Once – 689.5 million.
3. Queen of Tears – 682.6 million.
4. Avatar The Last Airbender – 515.3 million.
