After BTS members enlisted in the South Korean military, mandatory enlistment became a hot topic for thousands of K-Netizens who wondered how other idols dealt with their military service. Unfortunately, some of them had one of the worst experiences ever to date, these are three idols whose privacy was completely jeopardized during their military service.

2PM’s Taecyeon: Since the very start, the idol purposely chose to give up his United States permanent residency to enlist in the military. Although the idol looked incredibly well during his military service, Seoulite TV stated it was the opposite of a good experience.

When it comes to taking a shower, the idol doesn’t have quite the privacy he would like to have. Some of his fellows tried to help him, doing their best to give him privacy. However, he couldn’t escape from it as the showers didn’t have stalls and they were all open, making him the idol completely uncomfortable during his 18-month stay.

G-Dragon tried his best to bond with the people he was working with and encourage a positive environment in the military. However, things went wrong for the idol. Seoulite TV commented on the complex situation G-Dragon found himself in, he allegedly used his credit card and let everybody just use it, taking advantage of him.

Despite all of his efforts, the idol had a rough time during his military life, as he drew unwanted attention showering in public. Several people were staring at him in the shower and pretending they didn’t want to, they allegedly even tried to draw his body and even stole his underwear.

On top of that, rumors were stating G-Dragon’s doctor in the military released his medical record to the internet which became an extreme violation of privacy. Ultimately, the idol left his past behind once he finished his military service.

SHINee’s Taemin: The idol had a background unexpected for thousands of fans who didn’t embark on Taemin’s journey. He served his mandatory military service as a public worker due to worsening anxiety and depression from harassment. Although he was on medication and being checked up regularly, he was transferred out of the military.

On top of that, the idol joined the military band, which resulted in a complete nightmare as he was harassed multiple times, especially during the showers. Ultimately, the idol knew he couldn’t handle all the pressure and finished his mandatory service away from other fellows.
