According to reports, the actor has finalized his divorce from his high school sweetheart Lilly Jay, after filing for separation last year. The split comes after Slater’s controversial romance with Ariana Grande became public, following their work together on the “Wicked” film.

While the estranged couple shares a young son, the terms of their divorce settlement remain sealed. However, it’s clear that Ethan Slater is moving forward with his current relationship. Shortly after the actor and Ariana Grande went public, audiences reacted with backlash due to “homewrecker” allegations against the “Into You” singer. Lilly Jay said about the situation:
