Her fierce clapback turned heads on the Gray Carpet at the 2024 MTV VMAs
Chappell Roan may have wowed the crowd at the 2024 MTV VMAs with her killer performance, but it was her fiery gray carpet moment that really stole the spotlight! As the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer strutted into the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, she was rudely interrupted by a photographer who told her to “Shut the f**k up.”
But the singer wasn’t having any of it! In a sassy twist, she clapped back, “You shut the f**k up.” Then, she added finger wag and the now-iconic line: “Not me, bi**h,” before glamorously returning to her poses for the rest of the cameras.

“The red carpet gives me major anxiety, so when someone yelled at me, I yelled back. You don’t get to treat me like that.”
But inside the award show, Chappell Roan’s night took a positive turn first-ever VMA for Best New Artist. And if that wasn’t enough, she brought the house down with a fiery performance of her breakout hit “Good Luck, Babe!”
