PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and BTS’ “Dynamite” have been crowned as the most beloved K-pop hits of the 21st century in South Korea! A new survey by Gallup Korea has asked people about their favorite tracks between August 19 and 23. The survey involved 1,052 participants ranging in age from 19 to 69, dive in to see the full results!
Since its release in 2012 “Gangnam Style” has been nothing short of a global phenomenon, achieving a lot of first records for South Korea and now getting the first spot in this list. Following there’s “Dynamite” by BTS, their most successful English song and the one that helped the group’s status in the West. Rounding up the top three, Wonder Girls appear with “Tell Me,” a song that has become a K-pop classic and the girl group’s signature track.
The rest of the top 10 features a mix of old and new K-pop hits, showcasing the genre’s diverse appeal and evolutionary journey:
