BLACKPINK’s Jennie has been profoundly affected over the years because of the rumors around her personal life and artistic career. However, the last one hit rock bottom after an imposter claimed to be her dad.
Previously, BLACKPINK’s fans, better known as BLINKS, were completely confused after a South Korean media outlet reported that an individual claimed to be Jennie’s estranged dad in a published book.
Immediately, Jennie’s music agency, OA Entertainment released a short but substantial statement about the intriguing situation. They stated that the illegally published work containing lies, was written by an imposter who wasn’t the artist’s father.
OA Entertainment also clarified that the published work has no relation to BLACKPINK’s Jennie and asked politely to avoid incurring any damages from purchasing the illegally published work.
“We have already begun steps to file a criminal lawsuit against the distributor of this work for the spread of false information, defamation of character, and obstruction of business. Furthermore, we would like to once again note that strong legal measures are being pursued against individuals spreading false information about our artist with intentions including defamation, sexual harassment, and malicious slander”
