This September 5th, in her Vogue cover story, singer Lady Gaga reveals intimate details of her relationship and marriage proposal to fiancé Michael Polansky, to whom she appears to have gotten engaged a few months ago.
The Grammy winner revealed that Polansky got down on one knee to propose to her last April after spending the entire day enjoying rock climbing together. During the Olympics, Gaga has already referred to him as her fiancé and says they are meant for each other.
“I was in a really dark place. I struggled for, like, many years. … But everything started to change. Because I had a real friend who saw the ways in which I was unhappy and why“, the ‘Bad Romance’ singer said. Then, she added, “he wasn’t afraid to truly hold my hand. And get to know me. On a very deep level“, letting it be known that her now fiancé has been a fundamental support all these years.
It should be noted that the couple formalized their relationship during the pandemic they spent together in Malibu; the singer said about that, “The gift of that time was that I got to completely focus on my relationship. I met this totally supportive, loving human being who wanted to get to know me—outside of Lady Gaga“.
