- BTS’ Suga’s DUI incident: The South Korean media outlets made tens of headlines regarding BTS’ Suga’s DUI incident that occurred on the night of August 6. The idol fell outside the Nine One Hannam luxury complex in Hannam-dong from an electric scooter with an alcohol blood concentration over the legal limit.
- Former NCT’s Taeil’s sex crimes: On August 28, Taeil’s former music agency, SM Entertainment announced he was immediately removed from the group because of the investigations for an unspecified sex crime. The idol is currently under investigation and no further news has been reported.
- NCT Haechan and Johnny’s scandal: SM Entertainment has had a lot of work to do since Haechan and Johnny were involved in several rumors involving prostitution and drugs scandal. Ultimately, the rumors were dismissed and the music agency is looking to take legal action against those who defamed NCT’s Haechan and Johnny.
- BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s indoor smoking incident: Jennie was spotted vaping in one of her vlogs, she was seen holding a dark-colored device to her lips while she was getting her makeup done. Although it is not illegal, K-Netizens were highly against the idea of the idol using electronic cigarettes.

- LE SSERAFIM’s criticism in Coachella 2024: The girls had mixed reactions after her Coachella performance, which led to LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura to address the controversy. She explained she was proud of their performance because they enjoyed themselves and gave their all to the performance despite the thousands of criticisms online.
