Kit Connor reveals he shot intimate Heartstopper scenes for seven hours

Kit Connor, the 20-year-old star of Netflix’s beloved series “Heartstopper,” recently opened up about the challenges of filming the steamy scenes for season 3 of the teen romance show!

In an interview with The Sunday Times, the actor spilled that shooting the intimate moments took about seven hours, though much of the footage didn’t make the final cut. Despite the long hours, Connor noted that his close bond with his co-star, Joe Locke, and the support of their long-time intimacy coordinator made the process smoother.

“We shot a lot of footage for them. Not much actually ended up in the show. But we shot the sex scenes for about seven hours!”

Kit Connor, who plays Nick Nelson, emphasized how the show has matured alongside its cast, diving deeper into more complex themes. In addition, he revealed that, after coming out as bisexual in 2023, he’s moved past the pressure from social media, saying:

“I spoke about it endlessly. I think I said everything that there was to possibly ever say about that topic. I’ve moved on and I feel much better for it.”
