BLACKPINK’s “Kill this Love” hits 2 billion views on YouTube marking a record

BLACKPINK has done it again, BLINKs! Their iconic music video for “Kill This Love” has officially surpassed 2 billion views on YouTube, making them the first K-pop group to reach this milestone with not one, but two videos. This 2019 bop has become a global sensation, proving BLACKPINK’s K-pop royalty status.

Here’s the scoop: as of August 31, 2024, “Kill This Love” joins “DDU-DU DDU-DU” in the 2 billion views club, making BLACKPINK the first K-pop group, Asian act, and female group to achieve this twice. This milestone is also proof of BLACKPINK’s huge staying power, maintaining a strong fanbase throughout the years.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment (that’s BLACKPINK’s label) confirmed that the fierce quartet would make a stellar return into the spotlight with new material and a world tour next year. As of now, the members Rosé, Lisa, Jisoo, and Jennie are mostly focusing on their solo projects, but 2025 is looking like a year for BP domination!
