It has been officially confirmed that Prince Harry‘s visit to New York, United States, during the High Level week of the UN General Assembly and Climate Week includes an event to honor his mother, Princess Diana.
With a message through the social network X, the Diana Award confirmed that the younger brother of Prince William would participate in a ceremony of the foundation: “In our 25th year, the Diana Award is delighted to be leading an event with Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex in New York this September“.
Diana Award executive director Dr. Tessy Ojo told People magazine, “It’s a privilege to have the support of both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex, particularly as we mark our 25th anniversary year“, reaffirming that Harry intends to be present at the event during his trip to New York.
After Diana’s sudden death in 1997, an award was created in her honor and is dedicated to empowering young people to make a difference. Both William and Harry support this despite their personal problems, so Dr. Ojo assured People, “They want to walk in their mother’s footsteps“.
